The Gallery

The building is awash in salmon, yellow and blue, a charming cottage that beckons visitors to linger on the porch and enjoy the Indian River breeze.  This is the essence of SoHo, the home of MarcyArt.  Nestled in the artist-friendly community of Jensen Beach, the gallery exudes creative tranquility.

Pass the famous SoHo sign, which is regarded as a piece of art in and of itself, and enter into the halls of Marcy Miata.  You’ll immediately be struck by the notion that the pieces are alive with color.  The rooms retain an energy that exudes from the art, which ranges from luminous artistic glass blocks painted to look like stained glass to monotypes.

Walk slowly through the gallery, savoring the brash lines and deep shading.  Acrylic and oil pastels mingle with painted mirrors and tiles.  Nestled among her giclee prints, the artist is likely working on one of her two or three easels, nurturing an artistic vision.   Expect to see portraits with personality.  The artist draws energy from the people she paints to convey dimension, resulting in subjects alive with purpose.

She’s available for commissioned projects, and enjoys making clients’ ideas come alive.  No matter if it’s her vision or another’s, MarcyArt always fulfills the same aim.

“Creating something new and different that touches people and brings them joy,” she says, “is my greatest accomplishment.”
